In an effort to diversify the jobs available for hunters, Manitoba government is encouraging hunters to consider the jobs offered by companies such as Hunters Manitoba and Hunter Solutions.
“We want hunters to have opportunities in all of the ways they can help to grow our economy and help to improve our quality of life,” said Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger.
Hunter Solutions is the only company in Manitoba offering hunters jobs.
It currently has two jobs, one full-time and one part-time.
The job posting for the full-timers said they are able to work from home, but hunters should be aware of the weather and travel restrictions.
“The job will require you to have a clean vehicle and have a minimum of six hours per week,” it said.
“You will be working with a supervisor.
There are no health or safety requirements.
Hunters must have at least six hunter licenses.
Hunters are required to complete the hunter safety training program.
Hunters also have to be at least 18 years old.”
The job also required a hunter with a hunter license to be available to hunt on a designated hunting day, while hunters must be able to hunt in a designated vehicle.
The program is open to hunters age 16 and older, with some restrictions.
Hunters have to have at the time of the application received a hunting license.
They have to apply within 90 days of their last hunting.
Hunters also must be in the state for at least 30 days before being hired to hunt.
They also have 30 days to obtain a hunting permit, complete the training program and pass a health and safety test.
