A job search company has been caught offering jobs to people on a third-party site, but only those who have access to their email addresses.
Jobseeker is a site that lets job seekers get paid to post job offers to job sites like JobMob, Monster and Monster.com.
But when Jobseker users logged in to JobMob on Monday, the company allegedly posted jobs to job hunters that they did not own.
Users who did not have a Gmail account could find only their names and email addresses listed in the search results.
Users could not search for jobs that had not yet been posted on any of the sites.
When one user tried to search for a job, however, he was directed to a listing that did not exist.
A search for “job hunter jobs” turned up nothing.
Job seeker told NDTV, “We have not found any jobs.
I have contacted Jobsecker and we will take action.”
In a statement, Jobseckers spokesperson, Sanjeev Kumar said, “A lot of people have been searching for jobs on JobMob.com and the company does not allow this.”
